This policy explains what personal information Cidexar collects through this website (cidexar.com), why we collect it, and the choices you have. We’ve tried to keep it short and clear.

Who we share it with

We only share information with service providers who help us run this website, and only for that purpose:

  • Website and database hosting provider: hosts the site, stores sign-ups and messages, and provides spam protection.
  • Analytics providers, including Google and Microsoft: help us understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages and features people look at and click on. Only if you allow analytics cookies, or where consent isn’t legally required. We turn off advertising features wherever a provider lets us. These providers may also use some of this information for their own purposes, under their own privacy terms.
  • Professional advisers or authorities, if the law requires it.

If Cidexar is ever sold or merges with another company, your information may transfer to the new owner, who must respect this policy.

International transfers

Our service providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent UK arrangements.

How long we keep it

  • Early-access sign-ups: until 12 months after Cidexar launches, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, whichever is first.
  • Contact messages: 24 months after our last reply.
  • Analytics data: up to 14 months, then deleted automatically.

Cookies

Cookies are small files saved by your browser.

Type What it does Can you turn it off?
Essential Remembers your cookie choices and keeps the site and forms secure. No, the site needs these.
Analytics Helps us understand how visitors use the site and what they find useful. Set by our analytics providers (including Google and Microsoft) and kept for up to 2 years. Yes.

Your choice. If you’re in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, analytics cookies are only set if you click “Accept”. Elsewhere, analytics is on by default and you can turn it off at any time. You can change your choice whenever you like using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, or block cookies in your browser.

When analytics cookies are off, our analytics providers may still receive basic signals that don’t use cookies or identify you (for example, that a page was viewed), which helps estimate overall traffic.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • see the personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
  • correct it;
  • delete it;
  • object to or restrict how we use it;
  • take it with you to another service (portability);
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what we did before;
  • opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we don’t do either).

To use any of these rights, email privacy@cidexar.com. We’ll reply within one month. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in the email or by writing to us.

You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (for example, your EU country’s supervisory authority or the UK Information Commissioner’s Office). We’d appreciate the chance to sort things out with you first.

Children

This website is meant for researchers and professionals. It isn’t directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and restricted access. No website is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page when things change, for example when the Cidexar app launches. If a change is significant, we’ll tell people on our early-access list.
